Roll-Off Dumpster Uses For Work On Your Property

by Joy Turner

A roll-off dumpster differs from a standard dumpster for several reasons. For one thing, a roll-off dumpster has an open top, whereas a standard dumpster has an attached lid. Also, a roll-off dumpster has a rectangular shape and comes in larger sizes. Another thing about a roll-off dumpster is it gets rolled off and picked up from a truck that is specially designed for that purpose. The larger sizes of these dumpsters make them great for some larger projects you may be tending to on your property. Here are a few examples of projects where you might want to rent one of these dumpsters and other helpful information:

You are replacing your roof

If you are replacing your roof, then you will have a lot of roofing material to get rid of when you tear the current roof off. Renting a roll-off dumpster is a great idea for this purpose. When you rent a roll-off dumpster for the debris of your old roof, you should have a place with level ground cleared for the dumpster to go. The spot should be close to the edge of your roof, so the materials can be tossed directly into the dumpster from the roof. This helps you cut out the time-consuming step of needing to clean up the materials in the yard to then put everything into the dumpster.

You are remodeling your kitchen and/or bathroom

If you are remodeling your kitchen, your bathroom, or both, then a roll-off dumpster can be a huge help to you during the process. You will have a lot of items to dispose of, including flooring, drywall, appliances, sinks, and more. The other option would be to rent a truck and haul all the loads to the dump yourself. Alternatively, you could pay junk haulers to come out and remove everything for you. However, both of these options cause more work, create more hassle, and can end up costing more money. It's likely going to be all-around better for you to have a roll-off dumpster in place for this purpose. Most things brought out from the kitchen and/or bathroom can be deposited right in the dumpster, which will be picked up and disposed of by the rental company.

You are building on your property

If you are building an additional structure on your property, then you can also greatly benefit from a rental roll-off dumpster. You can rent the right size of dumpster you need to accommodate the amount of work you are doing. Everything from material packaging to extra material or even yard waste can go into the dumpster. With this, you simply keep it for the duration of the construction and as it gets full, you can have it picked up and get a fresh one dropped off in its place. This way, construction can continue without stopping to tend to the debris removal.
